South Asian Geopolitics

International relation is the study of the interaction of nation-states and non-governmental organizations in fields i.e., politics, economics, and security. My writing focusses on geopolitics of South Asia because since the advent of the twenty-first century, the prominence of South Asia is enhancing due to the economic rise of China and its outreach in South Asia and beyond through its grand economic ventures Belt and Road Initiative and String of Pearls strategy, the growing extremism in the region, Afghanistan issue, Indo-US strategic partnership and the strategic rivalry between India and China.

A wave of geopolitical changes is seen throughout the region where many regional and global countries are involved for their own interests in their own way. The United States’ attention is shifted from the Middle East towards Asia and primarily South Asia. China’s regionalizing efforts are to connect regions through infrastructure development via Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) where China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has greater significance and implications.
